Brokering Grid Services for Distributed Visualization.
Cornelius Toole, Jr. and Loretta Moore
Abstract
Remote distributed applications (RDV) have the potential to increase the availability of visualization resources and capabilities to various scientific communities and to decrease the turnaround time for the delivery of scientific visualization solutions by leveraging the power of existing frameworks for distributed computing. But in order for RDV applications to take advantage of these resources, frameworks are needed to simplify the allocation and use of these resources. This paper describes preliminary work on the development of a resource broker for distributed visualization applications to address various distributed resource management issues and will hopefully become part of a larger framework for remote distributed visualization.
